We took it really easy in San Francisco, partly because it was pretty rainy during our stay – but mostly because I was starting to get really tired. Vacationing around with a giant baby bump and 2 toddlers is no easy feat, let me tell you.

For Henry’s birthday, we decided to give him some 1-on-1 time. I took him to the mall in the morning, where he picked out an outfit for his bear at Build-A-Bear and he got to choose where we ate lunch (he chose Hot FullSizeRender-2Dog on a Stick). Then we came home for a much needed nap before having cake (before dinner!), opening presents, and then heading out to Chucky Cheese. He got to hang out with Dad for an hour or so just playing games. Between the four of us, we won enough tickets for: disney princess stickers and a bracelet (for Addie) and some nerds and a rubber snake (for Henry).
Here are a few other activities we did (and some we didn’t do):

IMG_1832Lumos Farm – This was a cute farm for little kids, complete with a train ride, pony rides, bounce houses, playground, and petting zoo. It was a nice low-key family outing, very close to the campground.

Half Moon Bay Library – We went to story time here. It was nice doing something low-key at the local library. Plus, the wifi here was blazing fast.

Science Museum at Golden Gate Park – This place was awesome, complete with a rainforest, aquarium, and albino alligator.

Winchester Haunted Mansion – I was looking forward to visiting this mansion more than anything else! Its a mansion with hundreds of rooms and rumors of hauntings. We ended up not going. The reason? I had a weird dream about it the night before we were scheduled to go there…that if a pregnant lady visits a haunted mansion, some of the spirits might try to hitch a ride outta there via the unborn baby! I told Josh this, and he agreed it wasn’t worth the risk (however weird and irrational it may be). So Winchester Mansion will be saved for next time!

Alcatraz – This was also at the top of my list to visit, and we decided against it. The tour involves a lot of history, and we thought it might be boring for the toddlers.

What’s Next:

We are headed to Las Vegas, where we’ll be staying at Oasis RV Resort for about 3-4 months.IMG_1764IMG_1795
