Today we closed the deal on our brand new 5th wheel trailer! A 2009 Keystone Montana Mountaineer. It’s got a master bedroom, and a bunkhouse for the kids. FULL TIME RVing? WAIT, WHAT?!
Yep, we’re leaving our Highlands Ranch suburban house, selling all of our possessions, and moving the family into a 5th wheel trailer.
This thing is a beast!
We’ve spent the past week getting our Ford 350 truck, so as soon as we pick up our 5th wheel we’ll have the two biggest hurdles to full-time RVing out of the way. Picking the truck was a real pain, calculating tow capacity, axle capacity, dry weight vs. wet weight, and everything else was very confusing, especially considering the differences of opinions and types of calculations. We’ll be writing up a post about the experience of making sure we weren’t unsafe, overweight, and illegal.
